Turning Data Into Decisions: How Business Analysis Powers Amusnet

How Business Analysis Powers Amusnet

Can you describe your role as Head of Business Analysis & Settings and how you lead your team?

As Head of Business Analysis & Settings, my mission is to translate data into the language of business decisions. I lead a team of nearly 30 exceptionally talented professionals – analysts, engineers, and configuration specialists. My role is to create a clear vision, maintain focus on Amusnet’s strategic goals, and at the same time encourage the team to be proactive and creative. I believe in Leadership built on trust and shared responsibility – where everyone has the freedom to propose ideas and bring them to life.

How does your team transform data into actionable insights that guide Amusnet’s business decisions?

We work at the intersection of product, technology, and market. We collect and model vast amounts of data – from player behaviour to the performance of promotions and new features. Then we turn raw numbers into concrete scenarios: forecasts, KPI dashboards, and optimisation recommendations. Most importantly, our analyses are always “translated” into the language of business – not just figures, but clear actions and strategies.

What strategies do you use to ensure your team collaborates effectively with other departments within Amusnet?

We focus on building transparent processes and communication channels so collaboration flows smoothly, even when projects evolve dynamically. We share key analyses and insights on time and in a format that is easy for different teams - from product to business - to use. We strive to be a reliable partner by providing timely information and maintaining a flexible approach to support the company’s overall business goals.

Can you share an example where your team’s analysis directly influenced a major business decision or project?

Our team conducted an in-depth analysis of player behaviour to optimise key product configurations - from game limits and jackpot settings to promo tool configuration. By combining statistical models with real gameplay data, we recommended adjustments that strike a stronger balance between an engaging player experience and sustainable business performance. This analysis became the foundation for a new internal strategy for managing limits and jackpot configurations and has since served as a guide for future product decisions.

What challenges do you face as a leader in a data-driven environment, and how do you support your team to overcome them?

The greatest challenge we face is speed – our business evolves at a lightning pace while the data we work with is vast and complex. To stay ahead, we invest in automation, well-defined processes, and continuous learning. I encourage the teams to speak openly about obstacles and to tackle solutions together. When people know they are fully supported, they dare to take on bold, ambitious projects without fear of making mistakes – that’s how true innovation happens.

How do you foster growth, motivation, and innovation within a team of close to 30 professionals?

I strive to create an environment where every team member feels respected, valued, and empowered. I support professional growth through regular discussions about goals and progress, ensuring everyone has a clear role and the opportunity to take ownership. I firmly believe that when people see that their work truly impacts the business, motivation and the drive to excel come naturally. The team’s success is built on the dedication of each individual, and I am deeply committed to nurturing their growth, fueling their passion, and ensuring they find real fulfilment in their work.

What excites you most about leading the Business Analysis & Settings team at Amusnet, and what advice would you give to aspiring leaders in this field?

The most exciting part is being at the heart of the process that turns data into strategic decisions. Together with the product, tech, and business teams, we shape concepts for new games, optimise product settings, and drive the company’s global expansion. Watching how analysis and collaboration turn ideas into real results is incredibly motivating.

My advice to future leaders: Build trust and respect within your team, stay curious about the details, but never lose sight of the bigger picture. Leadership in analysis is about balancing precision, vision, and the ability to collaborate closely with all key partners.
