Do you know what companies like Amusnet, Eurospeed, Eviden, Milestone Systems, Novatel, OMV, Telelink, Yource, Zagorka, and SoftServe have in common? They are industry leaders who genuinely value their employees. Furthermore, their offices are all located at Garitage Park in Sofia.
Inspired by the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, we decided to organize a mini-series of sporting events where employees from each company could compete against one another. Thus, the Garitage Olympics was born. The competition was spirited, with over 100 participants from all the companies joining this collaborative initiative.
The first event was street fitness, which included four competitions: pull-ups, squats, push-ups, and a plank contest. Participants astonished us with their stamina and strength. We are proud of our colleagues who represented Amusnet. Milen Venev won the push-up competition with 72 repetitions. Nayden Trifonov finished third in the plank challenge, which lasted more than 4 minutes. Mihail Enev won silver with 67 squats in 60 seconds, finishing only one behind the winner from Telelink.
Next, we had the 200-meter sprint, a traditional Olympic sport. Amusnet captured everyone's attention by winning the team relay with a time of 2:00:83, narrowly beating the teams from Telelink and Milestone, who finished less than two seconds behind. Special thanks to Bozhidar Dimitrov, Kristiyan Kitov, Mario Vasilev, and Nayden Trifonov, who returned the cup to our office. In the individual sprint, our colleagues Bojidar and Dimitar claimed 1st and 2nd places, showcasing that we excel in creating games and athletics.
The volleyball tournament was a huge highlight. Our team made it to the finals alongside the Milestone team. Thanks to our generous host, Garitage, the final was held in the Levski Hall, where the Levski Sofia team usually plays. Our team, led by captain Stanislav Stoyanov and our teammates Neno Baichev, Viktor Velichkov, Georgi Dimov, Bozhidar Dimitrov, Georgi Nedkov, Rosen Dinchev, and Yordan Kanchelov, defeated Milestone 2-0 to win the championship. Supporters from both companies were present, demonstrating true sportsmanship.
The final event was the street basketball tournament. Our team secured a spot in the semifinals, which took place on June 13th. The four best teams competed fiercely for the championship. Amusnet advanced to the final, facing [name of the team]. After an intense match, we emerged victorious, securing another cup for Amusnet. Congratulations to our team: Georgi Terziev, Rosen Dinchev, Vasil Zaranov, and Emil Dyulgerov.
The entire experience was unique, with employees from different companies cheering each other on and celebrating each other's successes. We hope this marks the beginning of a beneficial partnership among all companies, united in promoting health and teamwork.
