At Amusnet, we’re fortunate to work in an office with a stunning view of Vitosha Mountain. Given how much it means to us, an idea sparked within our team: why not give back to the mountain that has given us so much joy? That’s how our latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project was born. We decided to renew the signs between Aleko Hut and Cherni Vrah and repaint the wooden bridge and floor grill near the Plato. This initiative was a wonderful way to spend our weekend and dedicate ourselves to preserving a natural treasure that we love.
Making a Lasting Impact
Our project was driven by a profound responsibility to the community and the environment. At Amusnet, we’re always looking for ways to contribute meaningfully, and this CSR adventure was a perfect fit.
The wooden bridge and floor grill we repainted are vital to the trail infrastructure. Every day, countless hikers cross these structures, crucial for protecting the fragile ecosystem around them. The area is part of Natura 2000, a network of protected sites that safeguard Europe's most valuable and threatened species and habitats. By repainting the wood, we’ve extended the life of these essential trail elements, ensuring they can continue to support both the local ecosystem and those who enjoy it.
But that’s not all. Some of our colleagues undertook the demanding task of replacing and renewing over 70 mountain signs along the main routes. Now, when you hike in Vitosha and see our Amusnet logo on those signs, you’ll know that we played a role in keeping the paths clear and accessible for everyone. Our Vitosha Park and Mountain Rescue - Aleko friends initiated the initiative. It feels great to partner with such organisations and achieve a common goal.
A Day of Community and Laughter
Our day on the mountain was filled with laughter, friendship, and a shared sense of purpose. As we painted, hammered, and worked together, we knew we were doing something that would benefit all. At Amusnet, we believe in the power of giving back. Whether through business practices or similar projects, we strive to make a positive impact. Our day on Vitosha was just one example of how we live our values daily.
So, the next time you’re in Vitosha, take a moment to appreciate the renewed signs and freshly painted structures. They’re a small part of our contribution to a mountain we all love - a symbol of our commitment to the area and the environment. And who knows? Maybe you’ll feel inspired to join us on our next CSR adventure!
