Amusnet turned to Bulgaria's rich cultural traditions to welcome 2025 with a sense of magic and purpose. Inspired by our colleague Sami Dogmush, we invited the Kukeri, the mythical figures of Bulgarian folklore, to grace our office, bringing their vibrant energy and timeless symbolism to our workplace. This event marked the start of another year with a fresh chapter where our colleagues' passions and inspirations take centre stage.
The Kukeri, known for their elaborate costumes, intricate masks, and jingling bells, performed their ritualistic dances to chase away evil spirits and invite health, luck, and prosperity. Their presence brought an electrifying atmosphere to our office, captivating everyone with their powerful movements and resonating with the deeper meaning of starting anew. As the Kukeri’s bells rang, they reminded us of the strength of preserving traditions and how they continue to inspire us in modern times.
To honour Kukeri tradition, we began with some delicious banitsa, adding an authentic touch to the event. The office was soon filled with the aroma of this beloved Bulgarian pastry, adding warmth and authenticity to the celebration. Inspired by Sami’s love for cultural heritage, this event highlighted how our colleagues’ unique interests enrich our company culture. As he is part of the Yordanovi Art and Friends group, we are proud to have such colleagues spreading Bulgarian traditions. You can also see him performing at the end of January during the traditional fest Surva in Pernik.
