This past weekend at the Inter Expo Centre in Sofia, we had the privilege of participating in one of the most inspiring events of the year - Bulgaria Wants You: “Bulgaria across Five Oceans”. It was more than just a career forum. It was a celebration of ambition, connection, and the shared belief that Bulgaria is a place where dreams can take root and grow.
As proud sponsors of the event, we joined over 100 companies and thousands of visitors in an atmosphere buzzing with ideas, energy, and heartfelt stories. From the moment the doors opened, our booth became a space not just for career conversations but for meaningful exchanges about life, goals, and the future.
Amusnet’s engaging presence drew more than 1,000 visitors. Some came to our booth to explore our open roles and learn more about our company culture and others were drawn by our Wheel of Luck, which quickly became one of the highlights of the day. With fun challenges, tech-focused questions, and a quiz filled with surprising facts about the company and the technologies we use, the wheel wasn’t just about winning – it was about getting to know us in a fun and engaging way.
And speaking of surprises, we also hosted a special themed raffle. The prize – Amusnet-branded American Tourister suitcase, symbolised much more than just a travel accessory. It was a subtle hint, a warm invitation to contemplate a return to Bulgaria. Imagine the winner filling that suitcase as their first stride towards home, towards exciting new prospects, and maybe even a future role at Amusnet.
Our team – Boyana Petkova, Desislava Koeva, Stefan Stanoev and Nataliya Petrova spent the day meeting incredible people from diverse backgrounds. Students who were ready to take their first steps. Young professionals looking to make a bold move, expats back in town and curious about returning home. What united them all was a shared sense of possibility, a belief that Bulgaria has more to offer than ever before.
And that’s our thoughts exactly.
At Amusnet, we don’t just talk about career opportunities. We talk about community, creativity, and the joy of being part of something meaningful. Whether it was a conversation about our tech stack, our culture of collaboration, or how we balance innovation with purpose, we made sure every interaction reflected our core belief: that work should be more than a job – it should be a place where people thrive.
One of the most powerful things we witnessed throughout the day was a shared sense of optimism. A feeling that Bulgaria is changing – and that those changes are opening doors for people to return, stay, and grow. In the words of many we spoke to: “It finally feels like we have a choice.”
Being part of Bulgaria Wants You isn’t just about showing up. It’s about standing behind the mission and for us, that mission is deeply personal. We believe Bulgaria’s greatest strength lies in its people. That’s why we’re committed to supporting platforms that connect talent with opportunity, and why we’re already looking forward to what’s next in our partnership with Bulgaria Wants You.
Until then, we’ll keep building bridges, careers, and a brighter future right here at home.
