For a third year, volunteers from Amusnet dedicated more than 150 hours of practical work around Zvezditsa Hut.
A place to rest after a long walk, shelter when the mountain weather changes, a sign that helps you find your way. These small details make a difference to a day on Vitosha - and they were the focus of a Friday spent on the mountain by Amusnet colleagues.
For the third consecutive year, the team dedicated a working day to caring for Vitosha, continuing an initiative that is becoming a shared tradition. This year’s efforts centred on the area around Zvezditsa Hut, helping make its outdoor spaces more welcoming and easier to navigate for visitors.
Colleagues cleared parts of the area, renewed and replaced tables and benches, improved gazebos and rest spaces, and installed information boards and directional signs. Together, they contributed more than 150 hours of hands-on work, with Amusnet providing the materials and setting aside working time for everyone taking part.
Behind that total was a day of shared tasks and visible progress. Away from their usual routines, colleagues worked side by side, turning their energy and effort into improvements that others could use. Each completed task added something tangible to the surroundings: somewhere to pause, take shelter or plan the next part of a walk.
That connection between the work and the people who benefit gives the initiative its meaning. The results remain after the team heads home, becoming part of the experience of those who visit the mountain throughout the year.
For Amusnet, supporting the initiative means giving colleagues the time, resources and opportunity to contribute to a shared cause. It also puts the company’s commitment to nature into practice through consistent involvement and improvements with an everyday purpose.
Returning to Vitosha for a third year brings continuity to that commitment. Each visit builds on the previous one, strengthening both the contribution to the mountain and the sense of shared purpose among the people involved. The intention is to return next year and support further improvements where they are most needed.
